Applegums is a beautiful little cottage that feels incredibly warm and welcoming — like coming home. The thoughtful details throughout the property make the entire stay relaxing and peaceful. The cabin is spotless and smells wonderfully fresh. The kitchen is very well laid out and equipped with all the modern amenities you need, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your time away. The outdoor spa is a huge highlight. Soaking outside while listening to the birds and watching the clouds drift by is pure bliss.
We brought along our three well-travelled dachshunds and they had a wonderful time. One of the biggest drawcards for us when booking was the secure fencing for the dogs. It meant we could truly relax and switch off knowing they were safe. The deck overlooking the valley is superb, and we spent many hours simply enjoying the serenity. There are also plenty of games available, making it easy to connect with family and switch off from the world. The bathroom was fantastic — the best one we’ve experienced on any of our dog-friendly holidays. We cannot recommend this cabin highly enough for a dog-friendly getaway, or even for couples and families looking for a peaceful escape. Being so close to the beautiful historic town of Wollombi is an added bonus.
We’re already planning our return trip.
